1987 Foundation
Sommer GmbH CNC Tool Technology was founded in 1987 by Mr. Franz Sommer in his garage.
1991 New Company Site
Due to increasing demand, a suitable company site became necessary in 1991. The new building provided the space required for CNC machining equipment.
1993 Growth
In 1993, son Bernd Sommer joined the family business.
2001 Generational Change
In 2001, management of the company was handed over to the son, and the site was further expanded.
2006 New Production Hall & CNC Technology
In 2006, a new hall was built in Hönigsberg, offering 900 m² of production space including several 5- and 6-axis CNC machines.
2023 New Managing Director
Since 2023, Thomas Herz has been the new managing director. The company currently employs 10 staff members and increasingly focuses on professional structures and modern processes.
